Our Story
JKM Technologies Ltd is a development house built on innovation - creating full-stack solutions that seamlessly blend hardware and software. We began life in 2004 as JKM Entertainment Limited, originally focused on building vehicle-based computer systems. One of our early breakthroughs was the JKM-G4, the UK's first double-din car computer running Windows XP. It offered all the functions of a modern smartphone years ahead of its time and it earned recognition as the 'Best Car Computer in the UK' by Max Power Magazine 2007 and 'Most Innovative Technology Product' by Mobile Electronics News in 2008.
This inventive spirit from our early days remains central to who we are. Today, we apply our deep expertise to design and build everything from embedded kiosk computers and custom PCB boards, to cloud-native software platforms - always with the goal of creating clever, reliable tech that makes life easier for our clients.

Matthew Wing, our founder and Managing Director, leads by example with a hands-on approach. With decades of combined experience, we've got experts in everything from software architecture to electronics design. Titles aren't too important here - we brainstorm together, pair up on challenges and believe the best ideas can come from anyone. We're not just techies; we're collaborators. We have a track record of turning bold ideas into practical, working technology. For example, we developed an award-winning in-car computing system that redefined automotive infotainment. We've also designed and manufactured self-service kiosks for a range of uses - from smart banking kiosks to government service terminals - and deployed them in locations around the globe. On the financial front, our team has delivered end-to-end card issuance platforms and seamless KYC (Know Your Customer) onboarding solutions that help banks serve their customers more securely and efficiently. In the public sector, we created a cloud-based data dashboard for the NHS that helped to identify inefficiencies and save literally millions of pounds in healthcare spending. We are even building IoT-driven lab testing systems for pharmaceutical research, bridging specialized hardware with modern software to automate complex lab processes.
